Mid-term elections are in full swing in the United States. The ruling Democratic Party is in danger of losing control of the US Congress through this election. In various opinion polls, the Republicans were indicated to win almost every seat. But the Democrats are also desperate to retain control of Congress to govern the country smoothly for the remaining two years. In the last minute of the campaign, the ever-rivaling blue and red camps are plowing the constituencies.

The US midterm elections are on November 8.

Early voting has already started in various states in view of this election in the middle of the four-year term of the US president. As of Friday (November 4), more than 3.5 crore citizens have cast early votes. This election is being held in 34 seats out of 100 seats in the Upper House of Congress or the Senate and all 435 seats in the House of Representatives. In addition to the Senate and the lower house of Congress, voters will elect new representatives to key positions including governors, mayors in 36 states.

At the same time, several decisions on civic benefits will also have to be voted on. In total, a voter must cast at least 50 votes on the ballot across states and cities. However, the ruling party, the Democratic Party, and the opposition, the Republican Party, are only focused on controlling the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Although both houses of Congress are currently under the control of the Democratic Party, if it is lost in this election, it will be very difficult for President Biden to manage the country in the next two years. At the end of the campaign, both the parties are highlighting the mistakes of the opposition camp by going to the voters.

Republicans, who are leading in the polls,

are taking part in rallies across the country, claiming that the country’s oil price, immigration, economy and law and order situation have deteriorated sharply, portraying the failure of the Biden administration. Republicans are directly blaming President Biden for inflation in the United States.

On the other hand, Biden is also plowing in one state after another to restore the confidence of the voters by calling the accusations of the Republicans false campaign. The US President addressed a rally in San Diego, California on Friday. He said that due to the global recession, the administration has continued the economic development, albeit at a slower pace.

Mentioning the creation of more than 250,000 jobs in the last month, Biden said that his government is working to control inflation. He expects swing voters to swing back to Democrats before Nov. 8.
