OK so here at school they have comissioned the first hand done bible in a few hundred years it is called the St.Johns Bible, and well even if you do not like religion or god or anythign having to do with it, you have to recognize the artistry, below are some picture of the actual pages form the bible, it is still in work and what is doen is touring france, this is all one guy doing it all, gold leaf, hand made inks and all quill workl. if you like what you see you can check out the site here: http://www.saintjohnsbible.org/
So just thought I would share this, they even went as far as making the paper out of i want to say lambskin, like they did in the middle ages. |
