Here's a sign I posted on the Lounge. Some are asking for how-to info so here you go.

This was a commision piece by the daughter of the sign subject. Believe it or not it is a 15"x32" piece of clear pine. They don't make em like that anymore. The crazy thing is, this board was use for a closet shelf in an old house that was being demolished.

It was the light green color. They tought it would look cool to age it by sanding part of the paint off. However, you can't letter over bare wood so I had to seal it. I used Enamelkote to seal it. Then I mixed some Med Green 1-Shot with some Penetrol and Mineral Spirits to make a stain. I wiped on several coats of this mixture until I got the desired effect.

I did my layout on paper and made a pounce pattern, then lettered with 1-Shot, mixing the colors to look faded - adding black and white. I let it dry a couple of days and then used some 600 grit sand paper to give it the aged look. [img][/img]

Well, Well...Good to hear from you Mr Magoo. At least I know you're still kickin', haha. Joey? nah, Joey retired, didn't you know that? For the 4th or 5th time. He announced it right here on SketchKult.

Chubby! What d'ya mean Chubby? Must've been taken from a bad angle...yeah, that's it. haha With the way that sweet thing next to me cooks I'm lucky to not wiegh 500 pounds.

To all you who don't know, a living legend has made an appearance, and hopefully will make many more. He'll wow you with his knowledge and crack you up with his wit.

Let's see, where's those pictures I have of you signing what's-her-names bellybutton?

Good to hear from you my friend.
