The photos of the Dave Devries Mixed media demo are now online. A great time was had by all as Dave turned an innocent child's drawing into a subversive display of texture, light source, and color. He also thrilled us with an encore demo on how to create stone textures. If you missed it don't worry, we'll be doing it again in October. I'll send out the date for the next demo via e-mail. You can also check Sketchkult.com for event listings and updates. Thanks to everyone who attended. It was a huge success, and we all walked away entertained, educated, and inspired.

that was a really cool demo. Its not every day you get a pro letting you in on everything he knows. I've been painting for a some time and i was glad to see someone with a similar approach that i have- ie:mixed media, airbrushing. Dave was very helpful and inspiring. Im gonna make it a point to spend more time painting instead of playing playstation. lol!

Wow VERY inspirational. I love it! Thats soooo amazing. I wish I lived in the area so that I could have been a part of that demo! I really need to try and play with some different mediums like paint and such.

I have to say that I've had the pleasure to witness 3 Dave demos, and it's new and exciting every time. I love to see the expressions on people's faces as his work starts to take shape. The best thing about Dave is that he makes it look easy, and gives you the confidence to try it all out on your own. 3 demos later I can say that everyone who's attended has gone on to pick up the brushes and just DO IT! Thanks again Dave!! Very Happy
